You can shut down your SmokeFire grill from either the grill itself or from the app. Here are instructions on how to properly shut down your grill after use.
From the SmokeFire grill

Press the menu button (the one with three horizontal lines on it) until you see a screen called "Menu", with the top three items in the menu called "Home", "Temperature", and "SmokeBoost".

Rotate the knob clockwise until the entry called "Shut Down" is highlighted.

Click the knob. You should see a screen asking if you're sure you want to shut down the grill.

Rotate the knob clockwise until the "Shut Down" option is highlighted.

Click the knob to initiate shutdown. You should see a screen telling you the grill is shutting down.

At this point, you're done. You can leave the grill to finish on its own and leave the power on.

If you need to turn the power off, wait until you see the screen telling you the grill is shut down, and you can safely power off.
From the Weber Connect app

Go to the Grills tab.

Tap the card for your SmokeFire grill to go into the LaunchPad.

In the LaunchPad, tap the "Shut Down" button.

At this point, you're done. You can leave the grill to finish on its own and leave the power on.

If you need to turn the power off, wait until you see the screen telling you the grill is shut down, and you can safely power off.
