Our lids and bowls are coated in porcelain enamel. Porcelain-enamel is baked on glass, which is very different than paint. The only parts of our stand up gas grills that can be repainted are the cookbox and end-caps of the lid.
Over time the paint on these parts may oxidize due to aging, weathering, grease, and marinades or cleaning solutions running down the sides. We recommend sanding these areas with fine sandpaper or steel wool and spraying the part with a high temp barbecue spray paint. The high temp paint is available at almost any hardware store and should be used only on the outside of the grill.
