The type of wood you use depends on what food you are smoking, and how bold of a taste you're looking to add.
Each type of wood has different flavors and pairs best with certain foods.
For charcoal models, you can usually just add the wood right to the charcoal that you're using to heat the grill.
For most gas models, you can use our universal smoker box.
If you don't have a smoker box, you can also place a drip-pan filled with damp wood chips, covered with foil (with holes punched in the top), on top of the Flavorizer Bars in the grill.
