We typically don’t recommend probing very thin or delicate food items. If the Cook Program or Recipe you have selected in the Weber Connect app requires a probe, you will be instructed when and how to insert it. If the Cook Program or Recipe you have chosen does not require a probe, typical in thinner cuts of food, you will receive notifications based on timers instead of the internal temperature of the meat. At the end of a time-based cook, it is recommended to check the internal temperature of the meat prior to consumption.
If you are not using a cook program and know the desired internal temperature of the cut of meat you are grilling, you can simply set a custom alert either on the display or in the app.
