It’s not uncommon on any new kettle for some smoke to escape from between the lid and bowl. Please see the article here for more details on the topic of smoke escaping from new kettles.
However, getting the correct lid-to-bowl fit on a Master-Touch Premium may require some minor adjustments of the hinge hardware.
Please use the steps below to make sure that your hinge hardware is adjusted properly.
#1) Loosen the bowl hinge hardware (4 nuts).
#2) Gently press down on the lid to achieve a strong lid-to-bowl seal.
#3) Once the lid-to-bowl seal feels good, while pressing down on the lid, re-tighten all four nuts on the bowl hinge, giving special focus on the top two nuts.
